Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lawyer with at least 8 years of post-qualification
experience (PQE) to join our growing legal team. This role requires deep expertise in
technology law, particularly with SaaS platforms, cloud-based services, licensing, and
data-driven business models. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including
product, engineering, procurement, data protection, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record negotiating complex technology
agreements in a fast-paced, global environment and will play a pivotal role in supporting
the company’s strategic initiatives, risk management, and innovation goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex technology contracts, including:
1. SaaS agreements(enterprise and SMB)
2. Licensing and subscription agreements
3. Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
4. Reseller, OEM, and distribution agreements
5. Software development and maintenance agreements
6. Cloud infrastructure and hosting agreements (e.g., AWS, GCP
Role Requirements
• Qualified lawyer in England & Wales, the United States, or Australia with 8+ years
PQE, with significant experience in technology law and SaaS transactions.
• Prior experience in top-tier law firms and/or in-house roles at tech companies,
especially B2B SaaS businesses.
• Deep understanding of:
1. Software and cloud computing business models
2. Commercial tech contracting (including revenue-generating and procurement-side
deals)
3. Data privacy and cybersecurity frameworks
4. IP ownership and licensing frameworks in tech
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; experience negotiating with enterprise
clients and global counterparts is essential.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize, and manage multiple matters
simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence
stakeholders at all levels.
