Role Overview
We're looking for a Finance Manager that will oversee the finance function of a dedicated technology subsidiary within the Group, providing tailored financial support to the business while ensuring alignment with group-wide policies. This role requires strong experience within technology or platform-based companies, with expertise in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial structuring specific to the tech sector. The Finance Manager will play a key role in shaping the financial framework around pricing models, costing structures, intercompany recharges, and the development of intellectual property (IP) strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the subsidiary’s end-to-end finance function, including bookkeeping, accounting, and monthly closing processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, aligned with group accounting policies and IFRS standards.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, providing clear insights into the subsidiary’s financial performance.
- Act as the primary finance point of contact for the subsidiary, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Business Structuring & Pricing
- Partner with leadership to design and implement pricing models for tech solutions and platform offerings.
- Develop costing methodologies to ensure sustainable margins and competitive positioning.
- Create frameworks for intercompany recharge models within the Group, ensuring fairness, transparency, and compliance.
- Ensuring correct treatment of intellectual property (IP) by advising on capitalization, amortization, and value recognition.
Controls & Compliance
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance with statutory and group requirements.
- Apply knowledge of international taxation laws to support cross-border transactions, intercompany arrangements, and Group structuring.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth reviews.
- Implement finance systems and processes suitable for a technology-driven business model.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with and Group Finance to design scalable finance structures for the subsidiary.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth.
- Liaise with operational teams to align financial strategies with commercial goals.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in finance roles, ideally within a tech company, SaaS platform, or digital solutions provider.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management specific to technology businesses.
- Experience in designing pricing models, costing frameworks, and intercompany recharges.
- Familiarity with IP development and related accounting treatments is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of financial systems and ability to recommend tech-driven finance solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic and growing subsidiary environment.
