Role Overview

We're looking for a Truck Announcement Controller who is responsible for coordinating truck bookings and transport schedules, ensuring timely execution of transportation requirements and smooth logistics operations. The role involves working closely with internal teams and transport partners to maintain operational efficiency and meet service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end preparation and execution of truck announcement requests through both manual and automated platforms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with operational standards.

• Coordinate with transporters to secure booking confirmations and ensure accurate data entry into internal systems.

• Create and validate truck bookings through the Truck Announcements Dashboard, maintaining high levels of accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Manage booking relocations in coordination with controllers to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of operations.

• Process booking amendments within the system and communicate updates promptly to relevant stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date booking records within the Wire system, with a focus on priority and key accounts.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including transporters, buyers, and controllers, to resolve booking and announcement-related issues and support urgent operational requirements.

• Monitor and track truck movements to ensure timely execution and visibility across logistics operations.

• Ensure all assigned operational tasks are completed accurately and within defined timelines, maintaining service excellence and data integrity.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager to support daily operations and business objectives.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in logistics operations, transport coordination, fleet control, or a similar operational role.

• Strong understanding of truck movement, dispatch planning, route coordination, and transportation operations.

• Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking platforms, or fleet management software.

• Good organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling operational data and transportation records.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external transport partners.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
